KEN WAND PHOTOGRAPHY

Ken Wand is a portrait and landscape photographer located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.  Ken grew up in the town of Gananoque, in the heart of the 1000 Islands.    

From a young age, Ken has had a passion for the visual arts and picture making.   He developed the ability to see and capture light, learning along the way to slow down and enjoy the little moments along life’s journey.  Light, he learned, is fleeting, and a picture taken at that moment is unique in time.  Ken finds beauty in both people and landscape picture taking.  

Ken’s education and experience as a chef was a hectic and time stressed time in his life.  He needed a change and followed a path that ultimately led to photography which suited his artistic eye and need to work at a slower, more controlled pace.   

Ken’s creative side has led him to work as an artist model and to pursue a lifelong desire to learning and creating using photography as his preferred medium.  

Being around creative people with his camera in hand has given Ken the opportunity to slow down and capture the light at that moment.
